Caramelized Apple Crumble Pies
How can I explain to you how fabulously divine this apple crumble is?
Let’s give it a try.
It’s made from a delicious apple compote blended with a gooey caramel sauce and topped with a salted butter crumble. If you feel like trying this out, here’s how I made it. It’s really quick and easy.
Recipe
(Yield: 4 servings)
Ingredients:
-4 apples
-250gr brown sugar
-cinnamon, to taste
- 100gr salted butter
-150gr all-purpose flour
Method:
-Peel apples and take seeds out. Cut them up in quarters.
-Cook in a pot with a dash of butter for about 10 minutes on medium heat. 5 minutes in, add 100gr of sugar and cinnamon.
-Preheat oven at 210°C.
-Prepare your crumble dough by mixing together the flour, butter and the rest of the sugar. You want to obtain a dough with a sandy/crumbly aspect, if you need to, add some flour.
-Butter your baking tin or individual tins depending on how you want to serve your dessert. Put caramelized apples in the tin, then cover up with crumble dough.
-Put in the oven for about 25 minutes until the crumble is crisp and golden.
Let the crumble pies cool down before serving. They are better when eaten lukewarm, the caramelized apples just melt in your mouth.
